Artist, Photographer, Sculptor

GEOFF SHAW

(BA Hons  LBIPP)

Geoff’s passion for creating art began in early childhood. After passing his art A level at 15, he embarked on a 4 year apprenticeship with a major London commercial art studio.

Following a very successful 30 year career in the profession, he made the decision to take his love of art in a different direction - as a freelance community artist, sharing his knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to benefit others. This brought him the opportunity to lead art projects with homeless groups in London, working for both the National Gallery and the V&A Museum and culminating in exhibitions of the artwork produced. He then moved on to work with vulnerable children and young people in both mainstream and SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools.

Having retired in 2022, he is now able to immerse himself in his exploration of materials and techniques in painting, photography, collage and sculpture.

Some of his photographic work has been exhibited in the Saatchi Gallery.
